With decor that’s a stunning kaleidoscope of colour and brightness, Eight4Nine is easily the most beautiful new restaurant that’s opened in Palm Springs. Fortunately it’s not all style and no substance here at this Palm Canyon Drive eatery. The food is both interesting and exceptionally delicious.
Try the strawberry ‘Fraise Sauvage' cocktail with wild strawberry puree and prosecco before diving in to the tender and crispy Willa Jean’s Fried Chicken. If you’re hoping to make an impression on a date or a business contact, bring them to Eight4Nine for a memorable meal.

Another gorgeous room, Draughtsman opened last December. Featuring natural colours and materials and wide open spaces this hipster-ready joint looks like fun from the moment you walk in.
A central bar fills the room and comfortable booths also provide space for lounging.
If you want to wake up your tastebuds, order the Bang Bang PB&J, a peanut butter and jam sandwich on steroids. With roasted cashew butter on grilled date-walnut bread, there’s also a central layer of Thai chile strawberry jam, sliced cucumbers and mint. You’ll think there’s no way this should work in a sandwich, but trust me, it does.
Don’t forget breakfast!
When it comes to that most important meal of the day, there are some new places to try too. With both creative decor and exceptional food, you’re bound to become a fan of these new spots.
Broken Yolk Cafe

There’s something decadent about going out for breakfast. Maybe it's because so many of us don't put much thought into what we’re eating when we can grab and go. Thus not many of us consider breakfast worthy of special treatment. Too bad because breakfast is where you can have fun with your food and change up your morning routine.
Case in point, the new Broken Yolk restaurant that’s opened up on South Palm Canyon Drive. While there’s been a Broken Yolk out in La Quinta, now the unique dishes are available centrally in Palm Springs.
Dig into the unique and delicious Border Benedict. Take your standard English muffin, and replace it with tender cornmeal cakes, then add carne asada in place of the Canadian bacon, and fresh home made poblano sauce instead of hollandaise and you’ve got a tasty twist on tradition.
More traditional fare is on the menu too and Broken Yolk also serves up lunch.

Get your caffeine fix while strolling the main drag and pop in to new cafe Joey’s. Order a frothy hot chocolate or a lovingly prepared latte, then sit inside by the window and enjoy the view.
